Richmond’s Top Docs are right here at CHoR

top doctors of richmond magazine cover The ballots have been cast for the ‘Top Docs’ in the region. Each year Richmond magazine asks doctors in Central Virginia to think about which local care providers they would visit themselves or recommend to family members. When the votes were tallied, 76 of your favorite CHoR physicians and surgeons made this year’s list…and Dr. Kerri Carter even made the cover!

“We’re committed to recruiting and retaining the best for our kids and families. This includes skilled clinicians, outstanding educators and innovative researchers,” said Elias Neujahr, CHoR CEO. “Along with some of our decades-long veterans on this year’s Top Docs list, you’ll see a few of CHoR’s newest faculty who are already making a positive impact in our community. I could not be more proud of these physicians and the teams that work alongside them every day providing life-changing care and always making sure kids come first.”

Special honors

The magazine also recognized Alethia Watford, clinical social worker for general pediatrics and adolescent medicine for her outstanding work with kids and families.

“Social work is helping the most vulnerable people meet their basic needs and empowering them to live their best life,” said Watford, and that’s exactly what she does every day.
